I'm here on Amazon buying another one of these after making the mistake of thinking other heaters would be anywhere as quiet or good at controlling room temperature. THOSE ones are going back to W-mart and I'm ordering another one of these right now.
I've been using this heater all winter in my detached garage "office" here in Washington State. It has done an excellent job of keeping the space (approx. 320 sf) warm and at the correct temperature - quietly. Every other fan powered heater I've seen sounds like a rattle-trap compared to this heater. It's wonderfully quiet but still moves a lot of air.
I very much like the thermostat feature. I leave mine on all day long every day and the heater does a very good job of keeping the room temperature constant and comfortable.
The stuff that is not great? The one-touch control requires cycling through the whole system to turn down the heat. But since I rarely change the setting, that is not too bad. The other thing I wish for is for finer controls than 5 degree increments on the thermostat.
I'm buying another so I can obviously live with these minor shortcomings. Sure I might prefer a Vornado... but that will cost at least three times as much. This is a very good room heater.
